Once I learn this Op-Ed, I spotted I had by no means thought of lawmakers visiting prisons, and I discovered state Rep. Tarra Simmons’ factors legitimate and vital.
I’d add that one other good thing about lawmakers visiting prisons can be that they’d see precise incarcerated folks. I feel which may assist them see the incarcerated as folks, fairly than the stereotyped picture many people have of people who find themselves in jail.
