A Vancouver physician has died whereas making an attempt to climb Mount Everest.
The UBC Division of Anesthesiology launched an announcement saying Dr. Pieter Swart was descending from Camp 4 after a “respiratory occasion” when he died.
“Pieter was misplaced to us whereas bravely pursuing his dream of being on prime of the world, since he was 9. As lots of you realize Pieter had an insatiable wanderlust,” the division stated in an announcement.
Swart is being remembered as a heat and caring doctor, husband and mum or dad of two grown kids.
“Pieters’s sense of humour was second to none,” the assertion continues. “Laughing was at all times a part of the encounter and also you at all times parted smiling. He was a trusted good friend to many.
“Pieter at all times made your day (and evening) higher whenever you interacted with him. He was a boet (brother) to so many.”

The continued summit season on the world’s tallest mountain has been lethal, with 12 climbers having misplaced their lives since April 12.
